Do you like cars? Do you want to learn valuable skills and make a better life for yourself by doing something you already love?  Ford Motor Company started YAATC to train people like you for careers in automotive service and repair.  There is a huge demand for trained technicians, and many entry-level positions are currently available in dealerships nationwide.  In les than 12 months you can earn a Ford Maintenance and Light Repair certificate from YAATC.  That can give you an upper hand to help you get those opportunities.

Knowledge is Power
YAATC offers Ford's in-depth automotive curriculum in small classes.  This means you'll get personal attention from experienced teachers who are experts in their fields.  They'll take you inside the engine and give you hands-on training under the hood.  Using Ford's latest technology and equipment, you'll learn how to identify, service and repair many types of automotive problems.  Specific classes focus on getting certification in: electrical systems, heating and air conditioning, alignment, suspension, steering and brakes.  You'll even get help preparing for your future in job readiness courses, which focus on skills like resume writing, interviewing and getting along with coworkers.

What can I do to get in?
Getting into YAATC is easier than you think.  All you need to do is:

• Pass basic aptitude* and mechanical skills tests
• Pass a drug test and remain drug free
• Display a positive attitude and enthusiasm for learning
• Have a valid driver's license

*Eight grade math and tenth grade reading skills are required
